Though there are other things about the Viro Rides Vega that may make it worthy of consideration as we will examine in this review.
What to Expect?
It is a comfortable mini bike but one which has a bit of Transformers’ DNA. The 2-in-1 scooter easily transforms from a mini bike to a scooter and back again when needed. The modes are a button push away and with speeds of up to 10mph you will not be winning any races but will undoubtedly have fun riding it.
A UL 2272 certification means that the scooter is safe to ride and may even make an excellent gift for kids since it does not go above a safe 10mph.
Build Quality and Ride Quality
In terms of durability, the material used is pretty sturdy. We especially like the fact that switching from one mode to the other does not take a lot of work. Though there is no telling how many times you can switch back and forth before the mechanism starts to wear out or become the root cause of other issues. Then against 99% of the e-scooters out there aren’t meant to last forever.
Ride quality is pretty good all things considered. The 100W DC motor is lightweight for the most part, and the thumb throttle makes operating the vehicle easy. However, this isn’t one of those scooters you’ll want to take off-road or on rough patches of road. That said its lightweight and can easily be customized to your height making it a versatile consideration for anyone looking for an e-scooter.
Should you Buy it?
If you are looking for a customizable, unique looking scooter then nothing beats the Viro Rides Vega Electric Scooter 2-in-1. It is easy to use, relatively safe and can also be driven by kids. The only drawback if you can live with it is the 100-Watt DC motor which can only put out 15mph. If you weigh around 200lbs, this scooter isn’t going to be great choice since it may not be able to go any faster than 7mph. That said we’d still recommend it to most people.
