Swagtron T580 Hoverboard Review
The Swagtron T580 is a Hoverboard with a load of features that you’d be hard pressed to find in any competing product. Perhaps the best feature for most people would be its dedicated apps for Android and iOS devices, integrated Bluetooth speakers and the fact that it’s pretty light. But there is more to the T580 as we’ll examine in this review.
What to Expect?
The Swagtron T580 comes with a UL2272 certification and incorporates a number of different safety features like non-slip footpads, a fireproof outer case, their patented Sentry Shield Technology, and smart battery management. The vehicle can run for up to 7.5 mph on a single charge which is pretty impressive considering the battery size.
The T580 is suited for all riders between 44lbs and 220lbs. However, we wouldn’t advise anyone above 220lbs use this scooter since it will severely retard its performance. In terms of power, the T580 is powered by two 150-watt motors which offer a smooth ride and quick acceleration up to 7.5 mph making it possible to climb a 30 degrees incline.
Additional stability on the board is made possible thanks to the 6.5-inch hard rubber tires rolled on top of the aluminum rims. They offer more than sufficient traction on most surfaces.
Music lovers will find that the Bluetooth speakers make traveling on the T580 fun. It can easily be paired with your cell phone and starts playing your favorite tunes right away. The mobile app is able to control various features like the switching between multiple modes, playing music, even planning your route.
Build Quality and Ride Quality
The Swagtron T580’s ride quality is good. It tends to balance well, and even newbie riders won’t have a problem getting to grips with the controls. However, like most other hoverboards, the T580 isn’t meant for rough surfaces. We wouldn’t advise you take it off the road.
Should you Buy it?
If you are looking for a lightweight, easy to use, feature rich hoverboard then nothing beats the Swagtron T580. It can be easily used by people of all ages, and expertise. That said the fact that it comes with a complete range of safety features ensures a smooth, safe and highly controlled ride. So, we’d recommend it for anyone who wants to buy their first scooter or get it for someone who is new but not having to break the bank for all those hot features!
