The Vilano ION Electric Folding Bike is a great entry-level folding e-bike. It’s a great first bike for novice users and a perfect bike for casual biking. This 44-lb model is powered by a 36V Samsung lithium-ion battery and a 250W brushless hub direct rear drive DC motor. Riders may choose to pedal manually or with assistance.  Among its features are the following: a Shimano 7 Speed Drive Train, mechanical disc brakes, a compact aluminum alloy folding frame, a twist-grip shifter, front and rear fenders, a spacious rear rack and 20” tires. Range covered on a single charge is between 15 to 30 miles. When folded, it measures a compact 35” x 20” x 26”.  It weighs about 46 lbs with the battery and can transport a maximum of 250 lbs.
